Vacuum electrothermal plant KB 128 with a system of moving the cage of shaft type is designed for technological processes of melting of metals in vacuum or neutral gases of high purity at temperatures up to 1800C. The design provides the possibility of directed crystallisation of the ingot by slow movement of the cage to the cooling zone.
It is possible to accelerate cooling of the heating zone of the unit, carried out by inert gas intake into the working space. The unit contains: heating and cooling chamber, including a cylindrical body, upper and lower lids, lateral three-phase heater, screen thermal insulation, mechanism for lifting and turning the upper lid, current leads, crystalliser, mechanism for moving the cage, thermocouples and slide table for placing the load; control cabinet; automated vacuum system; two-circuit autonomous water-cooling system; the system of induction into the working chamber of air or neutral gases; wiring.
