Uninsulated wires are designed for transmission of electric energy in overhead power networks (power lines), are used for operation on land in areas with temperate and cold climate. The wire consists of a steel core made of round galvanised steel wires of normal strength and a current-carrying part of the wire made of round aluminium wires. The inter-wire space of the steel core, including its outer surface, is coated with a neutral grease of high heat resistance.
