The tangential hammer mill with inertial separator is designed to work as a part of dust preparation system for preparation for coal combustion.
Grinding material and drying agent are fed into the working zone of the mill tangentially (i.e. tangentially to the rotating rotor). The material is ground by repeated blows with articulated beads. The flow of drying agent carries the ground material out of the grinding zone to the separator, where coarse fractions are separated and returned to the working zone of the mill for further grinding.
The mill is driven by an electric motor through an elastic sleeve-finger clutch.
The mill bearings are lubricated by an individual liquid lubrication station.
Normal operation of the mill is ensured only when material with lump size not exceeding 40 mm, cleaned from chips and solid inclusions is supplied for grinding.
