AПвКВнг(А) is a medium-voltage power cable with aluminum conductors and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, produced in three-core configurations with cross-sections from 35 to 400 mm² for distribution networks in the 6–35 kV class. XLPE insulation is the technology that retired oil-impregnated paper cable: it permits higher conductor operating temperatures, withstands moisture, needs no fluid maintenance, and tolerates installation gradients that paper-insulated designs forbid — the package that has made XLPE the default specification for new medium-voltage lines worldwide.
The нг(А) index designates flame-retardant execution for group laying, the requirement for cable runs in trays, tunnels and buildings; armouring protects the cable in ground burial and mechanically exposed routes. Aluminum conductors keep cost and weight well below copper across long distribution runs.
At $9 per unit with a minimum order of 200, the cable addresses electrical wholesalers, grid contractors and utilities — cable is bought by the kilometre on every substation connection, network extension and industrial power project, making MV cable one of the largest recurring positions in electrotechnical trade.
