The cable contains a central steel optical module with loosely laid fibres. The optical fibres in the module are grouped into bundles (if the number of fibres is more than 12). Each fibre bundle is wrapped with coloured synthetic thread. The free space in the optical module is filled with hydrophobic gel.
An armour of steel wires is spirally applied to the central steel optical module. The free space between the wires is filled with hydrophobic gel. Water-blocking and aluminopolymer tapes are longitudinally applied to the armour. An intermediate sheath made of medium density polyethylene and armour made of steel wires is placed on top of the tape.
The free space between the wires is filled with hydrophobic gel. The armour is overlaid with a sheath made of a polymer composition that does not spread combustion, does not contain halogens and has low smoke emission.
