The medium speed roller mill is designed for grinding of hard coal in dust preparation systems of thermal power plants. Coal is fed to the grinding table of the mill through the centre pipe of the separator. Grinding is performed by rollers, which press on the fuel layer on the grinding table, driven into rotation from the electric motor of the main drive through an elastic coupling and gearbox.
Grinding takes place mainly by crushing and partly by abrasion. The peculiarity of work of the mill of type MVS with dynamic separator is that after grinding the coal dust is carried out by air flow into the separator, where due to rotation of the rotor it is divided into small and large fractions. The fine fractions are carried to the burners, and the coarse fractions are returned to the mill for milling.
