Middle-wheel roller mill is designed for grinding of hard coal in dust preparation systems of thermal power plants. Coal is fed to the grinding table of the mill through the centre pipe of the separator. Grinding is performed by rollers, which press on the fuel layer on the grinding table, driven into rotation from the electric motor of the main drive through an elastic coupling and gearbox.
Grinding takes place mainly by crushing and partly by abrasion. The product of grinding - coal dust is carried out from the grinding table to the separator, where the coarse fractions are separated and returned for re-milling by the flow of drying and ventilating agent fed into the grinding chamber and further into the middle part. In the upper part of the separator there are rotating blades, by means of which the fineness of the dust grinding is regulated. The finished coal dust is carried out by the flow of spent drying agent through the outlet pipe in the upper part of the separator.
