The cable contains a core of modular construction with a central power element made of dielectric rod, around which optical modules with freely laid fibres are twisted. The free space in the optical modules and in the cable core is filled with hydrophobic gel. An intermediate sheath made of polyethylene is overlaid on the core. Two layers of armour made of fibreglass rods are spirally applied on the intermediate sheath. The free space between the bars is filled with hydrophobic gel. The armour is overlaid with a sheath made of a polymer composition that does not propagate combustion, does not contain halogens and has low smoke emission.
