The EKS-0.2/5-I1 is a floor-standing chamber electric drying oven manufactured by the ThermiKS group — a Russian thermal equipment specialist founded in 1991 by leading engineers of the All-Russian Research Institute of Electrothermal Equipment (VNIIETO). With over 30 years of continuous product development, ThermiKS maintains its own R&D laboratory, 3D design capabilities, and fully integrated manufacturing including metalworking, ceramic processing, and heater fabrication.
The EKS-0.2/5-I1 offers a generous 200-litre working chamber with internal dimensions of 600×600×600 mm, reaching a maximum operating temperature of 500 °C at a rated power of 6 kW. The working chamber is lined with AISI 304 stainless steel (stainless muffle construction), which provides excellent resistance to chemical attack and facilitates cleaning after processing.
Operating on natural convection — with no forced airflow — the I1 variant is the preferred choice for heat treatments where turbulent air circulation could disturb lightweight samples or interfere with surface coatings. The unit ships with two chrome-plated shelves as standard.
The cabinet stands 1,480 mm tall with an overall footprint of 800×850 mm and weighs 125 kg, delivering a large-capacity working space within a compact industrial enclosure. The EKS-0.2 series has undergone multiple rounds of modernisation since its introduction, covering improvements to the fan assembly design, furnace lining, and electronic control hardware — resulting in a highly reliable, low-maintenance platform for laboratory and industrial thermal processing.
