Transformer demagnetisation device CHEP3601 is designed to remove residual magnetisation from the magnetic core of a power transformer, resulting from a sudden reset of the supply voltage or for other reasons. The demagnetisation process is carried out automatically by the device and consists in cyclic exposure of the magnetic material (transformer magnetic core) to an alternating magnetic field with decreasing amplitude to reduce its residual magnetisation. The device CHEP3601 is placed in a shockproof plastic case and is used for diagnostics of power transformers of any capacity.
