Spring beam is cast from steel in the form of a bar of equal resistance to bending of closed box section. It has a pedestal, a shelf for mounting the bracket dead centre of the lever brake gear, supports for slides, notches (sockets) for the placement of friction wedges, shoulder, limiting the displacement of the internal springs of the spring set, and protrusions that keep the external springs from displacement during the movement of the bogie.
Sill beam is a component part (cast part) of the bogie load-bearing structure that transfers loads from the wagon body to the two side frames through the spring suspension. The products are designed for use as part of the running bogie of railway freight wagons for operation on the railways of the Russian Federation, CIS countries, Georgia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia and other countries.
