It is used as a support that determines the position of moving parts in relation to other parts of the mechanism, operating on the principle of rolling friction. It consists of an outer flangeless ring, an inner double flanged ring, cylindrical rollers and a solid cage.
It is designed to support radial loads. Due to the large contact surface between the rollers and rings, this bearing is able to absorb loads exceeding those absorbed by deep groove ball bearings of the same overall dimensions.
