The MIRage-NPT devices are designed to measure temperatures using resistance thermocouples (RTDs) of different graduations and transmit the measured values via duplicated digital interface Ethernet 10/100 over twisted pair using ModBus protocol. The MIRage-NPT devices have 8 measuring channels (IR). The interface of each IR assumes connection of sensors by 4-wire, 3-wire and 2-wire scheme. For each IR there are four terminals for connection - two terminals of the measured voltage input, one contact of the current output, one contact common. During measurement, the input voltages from the IRs are multiplexed into a single signal for the analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), and the common current source is multiplexed to the current output for that channel. The devices have one additional internal reference channel that serves for internal automatic calibration.
