The atomic absorption spectrometer "Kvant-2mt" is designed for quantitative elemental analysis of liquid samples. The solution through the capillary enters the atomiser, after which in the form of an aerosol it is introduced into the burner flame. In the flame there is evaporation of liquid with dissolved salts and atomisation of the element to be determined. In this way atomic vapour is formed. The measure of concentration is the optical density of the vapour at one of the resonance absorption lines of the element to be determined;
The spectrometer consists of the following components:
atomiser; optical system;signal registration and processing system;gas automation unit.
The spectrometer can operate in the following modes: atomic emission (AE); atomic absorption with direct sample injection into the flame (AA); atomic absorption with mercury-hydride generator (AA HHG);
Structurally the spectrometer is made in a metal case. The lamp holder of the spectrometer "Kvant-2mt" is made in the form of a turret.
