Description

The Momentum MT-3000 is a medium-voltage voltage-source inverter (variable frequency drive) engineered by НТЦ «Приводная техника» (MOMENTUM LLC) in Chelyabinsk, Russia, for variable-speed control and smooth starting of AC motors rated at 3,000–3,300 V. The converter covers a power range from 2,500 to 45,000 kW and operates across an ambient temperature span of −40 to +40 °C, making it well suited to harsh industrial environments including outdoor Siberian installations.

The MT-3000 accommodates both asynchronous (induction) and synchronous AC motors, serving pumps, fans, induced-draft fans, and compressors across heavy industry. Its three-level modular topology uses proven HiPack high-voltage IGBT transistors, enabling a compact cabinet footprint relative to its power class while sustaining a high overload capacity.

Building-block architecture allows power to be scaled by adding modules, and optional liquid or water cooling can be specified for thermally demanding sites. The unit incorporates energy-regeneration capability that feeds braking energy back into the supply network, reducing overall electricity consumption.

A diode-rectifier front-end variant simplifies the input transformer, lowering component count for improved long-term reliability. MOMENTUM has developed proprietary Russian-origin control software, ensuring a high level of domestic localization and straightforward in-country service.
