The CPA1-12 is a compact benchtop laboratory centrifuge built by PJSC DNPP (Dolgoprudny Research and Production Enterprise), a Russian manufacturer that develops its products through its own special design bureau and validates them in in-house and industry test laboratories, with certified quality control across the whole production cycle. The unit is designed for separating heterogeneous liquids in a centrifugal field — the routine sedimentation and fractionation work performed in medical, biological and chemical laboratories.
It operates at two fixed rotor speeds, 1500 and 3000 rpm, and accepts twelve test tubes of 10 or 20 ml in a horizontal (swing-out) stainless-steel rotor, delivering a maximum relative centrifugal force of 1910. A built-in timer covers runs from 1 to 30 minutes, and the brushless drive reaches full speed within about two minutes while running quietly and without the brush wear of conventional motors.
A notable convenience is that the design does not require pre-balancing of the tubes, which speeds up sample loading in high-throughput routine work. The centrifuge runs from a standard single-phase 220 V / 50 Hz supply, draws only 300 W, measures 400 x 400 x 225 mm and weighs 21 kg, so it fits comfortably on an ordinary lab bench.
A lid interlock protects the operator during the spin cycle.
