KTM100 RUS gas meters work on the principle of measuring the difference of ultrasonic pulse transit time. Receiving units are installed on both sides of the channel/pipeline at a certain angle to the gas flow. The transceiver units have piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers that work alternately as a receiver and transmitter. The sound pulses are sent at an angle to the direction of the gas flow.
