The apparatus allows to determine the swellability of coal during rapid heating in a closed crucible.
As a result, the obtained coke residue (korolek) is compared with the scale of standardised
profiles for assigning a number - the bulking index.
The control unit integrated in the machine allows to automatically maintain
temperature regime according to the standard.
