MIM LLC (ООО «МИМ») is a Russian medical device manufacturer producing a broad range of single-use clinical products. Their disposable sterile gynecological mirror, size №1 (S), is a two-part vaginal speculum of the Cusco type manufactured from medical-grade polystyrene in compliance with TU 9393-005-27380060-2006.
The instrument is designed to gently expand the vaginal walls and expose the cervix, providing unobstructed access during gynecological examinations, diagnostic procedures, and minor therapeutic interventions. Because it is supplied pre-sterilized and intended for a single use, the speculum completely eliminates the risk of cross-infection between patients and removes the need for in-clinic sterilization cycles, reducing both processing time and associated costs.
Each unit is sealed individually in a hermetic blister formed from gas-permeable paper and thermoformed polyethylene film, preserving sterility until the moment of use. A distinguishing characteristic of the polystyrene construction is that the material rapidly equilibrates to body temperature on contact, significantly improving patient comfort compared with metal instruments.
The product ships in boxes of 30 individually packaged specula, which is a practical quantity for outpatient gynecological practices.
