1. The device for interfacing the indicator of corrosion processes with the telemetry system is a part of the means for controlling the efficiency of electrochemical protection of underground metal structures against corrosion and is used for operational monitoring of corrosion processes.
2. The device is intended for maintenance of the indicator of corrosion processes (hereinafter referred to as ICP) manufactured according to TU 3434-009-51996521-2010. The device allows to realise remote control of speed and depth of corrosion of protected underground metal structures.
3. The device performs:
- scanning of the state of at least 8 indication elements of the ICP;
- fixation of information in the internal non-volatile memory of the ICP about the current state of indication elements;
- calculation of total depth and corrosion rate;
- information exchange with telemetry system via RS-485 interface specification in accordance with ModBus ASCII or RTU protocol.
