The Kurgandormash MD-651G is a heavy combined road maintenance machine powered by a compressed-natural-gas (CNG) engine and mounted on a KAMAZ three-axle (6×4) chassis, designed for year-round urban and highway upkeep. Manufactured by KURGANDORMASH OJSC — headquartered in Kurgan and one of Russia's leading producers of municipal road machinery — the MD-651G combines three functional modules in one vehicle: a sweeping and cleaning unit, a sand and de-icer spreader with a 6.5 m³ hopper (expandable to 8.5 m³), and a watering and washing system with a 10 m³ water tank.
In winter mode, the machine distributes anti-icing materials across a 2,300–3,000 mm spread width; in summer mode it switches to high-pressure road-surface washing covering 8.5 m per pass, road-sign cleaning via a 15-metre high-pressure drum-hose assembly, and barrier and guardrail scrubbing. Both the spreader and wash modules feature a self-unloading system requiring no crane for seasonal changeover on any flat surface.
The 300.5 kW four-stroke spark-ignition gas engine drives all hydraulic working tools, including a water pump rated at 300–1,000 l/min at 0.8–2 MPa. Gross vehicle mass is 25,200 kg and the cab is factory-fitted with a heater, qualifying the machine for year-round operation across the full Russian climate (category U).
