orthopaedic, dental, computerised surgery, image registration). It may also be used to connect/disconnect other articles fixed to the patient (e.g., implant components, coordinate tags). The proximal end of the product may have a handle for manual use or a profiled shank that is inserted into an independent chuck or drive tip; typically made of metallic and/or polymeric materials.
