The BASTION LA-10 is a large-capacity mobile thermos-bunker (kocher) engineered specifically for transporting hot mastic asphalt from the plant to the paving site. Built by NPF Bastion LLC — a Russian manufacturer focused exclusively on road construction, repair, and maintenance equipment — the LA-10 fully satisfies the requirements of GOST R 54401-2020, which mandates that mastic asphalt be transported only in kochers equipped with active heating and continuous mixing, prohibiting delivery in conventional dump trucks.
The unit centres on a 10 m³ cylindrical horizontal boiler insulated with high-quality mineral wool and surrounded by a sealed hot-air heating chamber fed by two fully automatic burners with closed-loop temperature control, keeping mix temperature stable throughout the journey. A gearbox-driven paddle mixer with diagonally oriented blades agitates the material counterclockwise during transport and reverses clockwise to assist discharge through a slide-gate shutter into a guided chute.
The bunker tilts 13° for clean unloading, and material is loaded from the top through a sealed hatch. An on-board power station drives all functions independently, requiring no connection to the tractor's systems.
Overall dimensions of 7800 × 2500 × 2600 mm with ISO container mounting points (2260 × 5853 mm) make the LA-10 compatible with any 20-foot semi-trailer. Maximum payload is 18–22 tonnes.
NPF Bastion supports every unit with an in-house spare-parts warehouse and 24/7 service coverage.
