The RSM 3485 is Rostselmash's powerful articulated four-wheel-drive tractor, positioned in the mid-range of the company's Series 3000 lineup. Built at the Rostselmash plant in Rostov-on-Don, it draws on five decades of engineering heritage inherited from Versatile — a brand Rostselmash acquired — combined with modern powertrain and precision farming technology.
The tractor is powered by a Cummins QSX15 Common Rail diesel engine delivering 492 hp nominal and 527 hp peak, with peak torque of 2,219 N·m at 1,400 rpm. Drive passes through a Caterpillar 16×4 electrohydraulic automatic transmission with multi-disc wet clutch cooled in an oil bath, providing smooth and programmable power delivery across demanding field conditions.
The articulated chassis keeps all four wheels in constant contact with the ground on uneven terrain, while a centrally positioned fuel tank maintains consistent axle weight distribution as fuel is consumed. At 26,140 kg operating weight and traction class 8, the RSM 3485 is purpose-built for the most intensive tillage, cultivation, and seeding operations on large arable farms.
Standard equipment includes the Agrotronic™ remote telemetry system, cruise control, speed radar, and headland management. A full daily maintenance cycle can be completed solo in approximately 30 minutes, with all service points and lubrication nodes designed for easy single-operator access.
