Electric Motors, Generators and Actuators for Heavy and Continuous Duty

This category gathers 502 positions from 174 suppliers across the rotating-machine spectrum. Industrial drives are represented by synchronous motors (38), general-purpose AC asynchronous motors (23), high voltage and specialty asynchronous machines (13), brushless and servo motors (16) and special purpose designs (22). Generation is covered from 20 generator listings and 24 generator sets up to 36 turbogenerator positions for power plants. A strong actuator cluster — 67 electric valve actuators and 24 MEO-type actuators — serves pipeline and process control, and 33 spare-parts listings keep installed fleets running.

Russian motor plants build to GOST series that mirror IEC frame sizes and mounting arrangements, so a domestic 4A-series asynchronous motor bolts onto the same base as its IEC counterpart. The engineering tradition favours robustness: generous insulation classes, bearings sized for continuous duty and designs that tolerate voltage imbalance — relevant wherever grid quality is imperfect. For buyers maintaining Soviet-built plants in Asia, Africa or Latin America, original-specification replacements remain in production here.

  • Frame compatibility: IEC-aligned frame sizes and IM mounting codes; dimension sheets provided for verification.
  • Voltage and frequency: standard 380 V 50 Hz, with 400/415 V and 60 Hz windings made to order.
  • Testing: routine test reports per machine; type tests and witnessed acceptance for large units.
  • Trade terms: EXW or FOB Novorossiysk / St. Petersburg; heavy units crated and preserved for sea transit.

Specify duty, power and grid parameters in a sourcing request and motor plants will match a machine to the application.

FAQ

Can motors be wound for 60 Hz or non-standard voltages?
Yes. Standard production is 380 V 50 Hz, but plants wind for 400, 415, 440 or 660 V and for 60 Hz networks to order. State the exact grid parameters and whether the motor will run on a variable frequency drive; the factory adjusts the design and documents performance at your frequency in the test report.
Will a Russian motor mount in place of my existing IEC machine?
In most cases yes: GOST frame sizes correspond to IEC frames, and mounting arrangements use the same IM code system. Send the frame size, shaft height and mounting code of the existing machine; the supplier returns a dimension sheet for direct comparison so your fitters confirm bolt-down compatibility before ordering.
What replaces a failed motor in an old Soviet-built plant?
Often the same series, still in production or manufactured as a direct successor. Provide the nameplate data — series, frame, power, speed — and suppliers identify the current equivalent. This is a routine request from factories in Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Cuba operating legacy equipment, and it avoids costly re-engineering of mounts and couplings.
How are large generators and turbogenerators inspected before shipment?
Large machines undergo factory acceptance testing against the contract programme: winding resistance, insulation, no-load and, where facilities allow, load runs. Buyers or their inspectors may witness tests in person or by video. Reports, preservation procedures and transport bracing are documented, and supervision of installation can be contracted separately.
What lead times apply for motors and valve actuators?
Small and medium asynchronous motors of popular ratings ship from stock or within 2–4 weeks. Special windings, high voltage machines and explosion-proof versions take 8–16 weeks. Valve actuators typically run 4–8 weeks including factory setting to your valve data. Sea freight adds 25–45 days depending on destination.
