Drain panel PVS-8 is designed for draining waste, flushing and filling with water of receiving (drain) tanks during ground handling of passenger aircraft.
The panel consists of a flange with an electrical connector, a casing, an electric heater, a sealing lead, a drain neck, a flushing and refuelling passageway and a temperature relay.
The sealing outlet is a ball with a spigot. The ball has a hole with a groove for sealing under the stem. Drainage neck in the upper part has a valve designed for hermetic closing of the upper spigot of this neck. This valve is operated by a handle. When the valve is closed, the handle is secured with a stopper.
