The basis of the device is a resistive decade (ten series-connected equal-nominal resistors) connected to the output of a stable voltage source of 10 V (or 20 V). Thus, a decade of equal-nominal voltages (from 1 to 10 V or from 2 to 20 V) is formed, the linearity of which is determined by the equality of resistors relative to each other.
