The Systeme VPIS-6 voltage presence indicator is designed to indicate the presence of voltage on the input and output lines of switchgears of medium voltage 6-20 kV networks. In this version the nominal voltage is 6 kV, there is no external wire for connection to the short-circuit current indicator. The device is connected to the outputs of the capacitor of the feed-through insulator of the switchgear "RME" (capacity (305) pF) by means of a cable (length 200 mm) and indicates the presence of voltage in the network by three red LEDs.
