The Ventilated Bunker BV is a stationary cylindrical grain storage vessel designed for buffer accumulation, tempering, and active-aeration cooling of freshly harvested grain. Manufactured by Technograd LLC (Perm Region, Russia), a producer of post-harvest grain processing equipment, the BV range covers three capacities — BV-25 (25 t / 37 m³), BV-40 (40 t / 50 m³), and BV-100 (75 t / 100 m³) — with heights from 8.5 m to 11.2 m and body diameters of 3.06 m or 4.6 m.
The cylindrical body is assembled from galvanized perforated sheet (1.2 mm thick) reinforced by 3 mm profile steel stanchions. A sectional central air distribution shaft runs concentrically through the vessel; a fan unit rated 5.5 kW (BV-25) or 7.5 kW (BV-40/BV-100) delivers air at 9,000–25,000 m³/h for uniform aeration across the full grain column.
The 45° conical steel bottom provides gravity discharge through a 200 mm or 400 mm gate, while the sealed conical roof carries the 200 mm central loading inlet. In a grain-drying complex, BV bunkers serve two critical functions: buffering wet grain (up to 20% moisture) for up to three days before drying, and managing post-dryer tempering and cooling — grain rests 2+ hours without airflow for internal moisture redistribution, then 1+ hour of active ventilation reduces moisture to 14–13.5%, improving dryer throughput and preserving grain germination quality.
The standard delivery set includes a control cabinet and two level sensors.
