Lag IEL-2M is designed to measure ship's speed and distance travelled relative to the water, with information output in IEC-1162-1 standard in RS422 and RS232 codes; it provides interfacing both with navigation equipment of old types - it outputs "200 pulses per mile" signal and with perspective integrated navigation systems. The lag can service two speed sensors (types 9D and 9 of various modifications), independently transmits data to 119 broadcasting devices of various modifications, has extended possibilities of data exchange with navigation complexes, up to full remote control.
It is possible to replace IEL-2M lag on operating vessels without replacing bottom fittings. The lag is installed as the main lag on ships and vessels of any displacement and unlimited navigation area
