Meters of geometric parameters of logs VECTOR-1D and 2D are designed to measure geometric parameters of logs as part of automated control systems for sorting roundwood, roundwood accounting systems, other similar systems and independently.
Diameter (thickness) measurement is performed along the length of the perpendicular between two parallel straight lines touching the side surface of the log from opposite sides. Depending on the model, diameter measurement can take place in one plane (VECTOR-1D) or in two planes (VECTOR-2D). Log length measurement is based on the shortest distance between the ends. The volume of logs is determined by summing the volumes of cylinders according to GOST R 52117-2003.
Universal possibilities of log scanner adjustment allow using adjustable parameters to adapt it to the peculiarities of measurements in different conditions, regardless of the receiving units of sawing machines and different types of conveyor.
