The vector circuit analyser R4M-40 is designed to measure complex transmission and reflection coefficients (S-parameters) of two-poles and four-poles in coaxial waveguides with cross-section diameters of 2.4/1.042 mm. The operating principle of the analyser is based on the principle of OTDR - separate allocation of measuring signals, their transformation into reference and measured signals, formation of voltages proportional to these signals and further discrete transformation of these voltages for the purpose of digital processing and indication of measured values.
Measurement signals are separated by means of directional taps. The analyser combines a synthesised signal source, an S-parameter meter and an adjustable receiver in one housing.
The analyser includes a frequency synthesiser, two pairs of directional taps, two reference and two measurement receivers, a data acquisition and control unit, and a power supply.
