The Ballu DR-24D ANTICOVIDgenerator is a wall-mounted UV air recirculator-disinfector produced in Russia by IZTT LLC under the BALLU brand — one of Russia's largest manufacturers of heating and climate control equipment. Purpose-built for installation in elevator cabins, the DR-24D addresses the challenge of air safety in compact, high-traffic enclosed spaces.
It operates on the recirculation principle: room air is drawn through the unit, treated by a 9 W Russian-made ozone-free UV bactericidal lamp, then returned to the room purified from bacteria, viruses, fungi, and mould spores, achieving a bactericidal effectiveness of 99.9%. A G3-class washable pre-filter provides additional particulate removal before the UV stage.
The closed-type UV irradiator design contains all UV radiation inside the housing, making the device fully safe to run continuously in the presence of people. An onboard lamp-hour counter tracks accumulated runtime against the 9,000-hour lamp service life, simplifying maintenance planning.
The stainless steel front panel gives the unit a sleek, durable appearance suited to modern elevator interiors. Mechanical controls and a standard 220–240 V supply make installation straightforward; wall-mounting hardware is included, and an optional motion sensor (available separately) allows automated activation.
At 40.5 × 22.5 × 7.5 cm and just 2.4 kg, the DR-24D fits even the smallest elevator cab. It is certified and classified as industrial climate equipment under RF Government Decree No.
