Optical communication cable is designed for transmission of digital communication signals, is used for laying in the open air, as well as inside buildings, tunnels, collectors in conditions of electric field. The cable has an optical core in the form of a central tube, inside which there are from 2 to 48 optical fibres, the free space in the tube is filled with hydrophobic compound along the entire length of the cable. Overlaid on top of the core is an inner sheath (or no inner sheath), an armour in the form of a convolution of synthetic fibres and an outer sheath of polymeric materials
