The KUB "Hexagon" is an all-season double-layer hub tent from PF Bereg, a Russian production company specialising in expedition shelters and backing every tent with a 5-year warranty. Its six-sided footprint spans 4.5 m corner-to-corner (3.9 m wall-to-wall) with a 2.1 m ceiling and 14 m² of usable floor area, sleeping up to 13 people in sleeping bags or accommodating 6 on camp cots together with a wood stove.
The frame is built from V95T1 aviation-grade aluminium alloy with 10 mm rods (12 mm for the roof) and metal hub joints, so the whole structure unfolds umbrella-style and pitches in roughly two minutes. Two tents come as standard: an outer fly of Oxford 300 PU 4000 over an inner layer of Oxford 240 PU 2000, with taped seams and an insulating air gap that keeps the interior warm in frost and cool in summer heat.
A heat-resistant stove-jack with protective plates, a dedicated ventilation window, three entrances, five 168 cm multi-layer windows with -50 °C-rated TPU panes and a double wind skirt make it equally at home on winter ice and at a summer base camp. A fold-out wall converts into an awning, and the kit packs into a single 2.2 x 0.28 m bag weighing 40 kg.
