The DPU-M 160 is a universal round ceiling air diffuser manufactured by ARKTOS LLC, a Russian producer of HVAC air distribution equipment. Designed for supply and exhaust air distribution in ventilation and air-conditioning systems, the 160 mm model serves residential, administrative, public, and industrial premises in both isothermal and non-isothermal operating modes.
Its defining feature is an adjustable central deflector that slides axially to change the discharge pattern continuously from a narrow vertical conical jet to a wide horizontal fan-shaped flow, enabling seasonal adjustment of throw distance and air distribution without any tools or additional hardware. At a sound power level of 45 dB(A) the diffuser handles up to 140 m³/h with a total pressure drop of 34 Pa.
When the ventilation branch is shut off, the deflector fully closes the opening, functioning as a built-in shut-off valve. The body, spigot, and deflector are all made from white polypropylene rated to +70°C — a material that resists most aggressive substances, deforms rather than ignites in fire, and emits no toxic gases.
The spigot attaches directly to a suspended ceiling panel with self-tapping screws. For balanced multi-diffuser systems, the DPU-M 160 is compatible with optional static-pressure boxes (КСД or КСР).
A thermoactuator variant (DPU-M-T) is also available, autonomously switching jet pattern by supply-air temperature without any electrical controls.
