The Triplex is AVESTPLAST's integrated comprehensive stormwater treatment system — a 3-in-1 solution that combines a sand trap, an oil-water separator, and an activated carbon sorption unit within a single fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) vessel. AVESTPLAST LLC has been manufacturing composite water treatment equipment since 2010 at its plant in the Leningrad Oblast, supplying customers across Russia and the CIS.
The Triplex handles the full contamination spectrum of urban and industrial stormwater in a single gravity-fed pass without any pumping infrastructure. Incoming flow enters the sand trap chamber first, where suspended solids settle by gravity; an integrated bypass line diverts excess peak flows to the drainage network, protecting rated treatment efficiency.
Coalescing modules in the oil-water separator chamber then capture petroleum hydrocarbons, reducing concentrations from up to 75 mg/L at the inlet to no more than 0.03 mg/L at the outlet. The final stage — a dual-compartment sorption chamber with a zeolite pre-filter followed by a full activated carbon bed — polishes the effluent to ≤3 mg/L of suspended solids.
Coalescing blocks require no replacement, only an annual rinse with warm water. An automatic signaling system with indicator lights alerts maintenance staff when oil accumulation or solids loading reaches the service threshold.
Available in configurations from 1.5 to 120 L/s, the unit's FRP construction is corrosion-free, chemically resistant, and significantly lighter than equivalent steel structures.
