The DS7-25 (Т.1.II) is a full-cycle LED road traffic light manufactured by UOMZ OJSC (Ural Optical-Mechanical Plant, Yekaterinburg), a high-technology enterprise within the Shvabe holding of Russia's Rostec State Corporation. The unit regulates both vehicle and pedestrian traffic simultaneously and complies with GOST R 52282-2004, Russia's governing standard for road traffic signals.
Light emission is provided by LED arrays mounted on printed circuit boards, limiting power draw to a maximum of 30 W at 176–242 V / 50 Hz — dramatically below the consumption of legacy incandescent units — while delivering a rated service life of 10 years without lamp replacement.
A key differentiator is the built-in 2-digit, 2-color countdown timer integrated into the yellow section. The timer needs no manual programming: it automatically measures the red and green phase durations over the first four operating cycles, then activates the countdown display from the fifth cycle onward.
A built-in consistency check monitors phase timing between cycles; if durations shift by more than 0.5 seconds, the display turns off to avoid misleading road users.
The housing is a flat polycarbonate body (1130 × 376 × 269 mm) with visor sun shades, rated IP 54 for dust and splash resistance. The optical design eliminates phantom effects and the unit maintains full performance across –40 °C to +60 °C.
Compatibility with any standard traffic controller makes the DS7-25 a straightforward drop-in choice for new installations and signal network upgrades alike.
