The S.KO series thermodynamic steam traps are manufactured by SOYUZ-01 OJSC, a Russian industrial valve maker based in Elektrostal that specializes in energy-grade pipeline valves for nuclear and thermal power plants, petroleum refining, and petrochemical industries. These traps operate on the thermodynamic disc principle: condensate flows freely through the open disc, but when live steam enters, the high-velocity flow creates a pressure drop beneath the disc that snaps it shut, blocking steam loss without any external energy input.
The S.KO series covers nominal diameters from DN 20 to DN 32 mm and design pressures from 1.6 to 18 MPa, with a maximum design temperature of 350 °C. The body is machined from carbon steel grade 20 conforming to GOST standards, and connections are butt-weld type per GOST 356-80, ensuring a leak-free joint in demanding high-pressure steam circuits.
Unidirectional flow orientation and a compact profile—110 mm construction length and 3.7 kg for the DN 20 / 18 MPa variant—make this trap easy to fit into tight pipework layouts. Climate version УХЛ3/УХЛ4 per GOST 15150-69 confirms suitability for both moderate-cold and cold operating environments.
The product is listed in the Russian Industrial Products Registry, satisfying domestic-origin procurement requirements.
