The Polispan®Profi SS grade uses a two-layer spunbond-spunbond (SS) construction: continuous polypropylene filaments are laid in two overlapping layers and thermally bonded at their fiber crossings — no adhesives or chemical binders are used. The 25 g/m² variant is the lightest practical weight in the Polispan®Profi range, which spans 15 to 150 g/m², and is available in widths from 0.18 to 3.2 m.
Its low areal mass combined with the open polypropylene fiber network gives it excellent air permeability while maintaining adequate tensile strength in both dry and wet conditions. Special stabilizers are incorporated during fiber extrusion to deliver sustained antistatic performance.
The material is fully hypoallergenic, resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, sterilizable, and compliant with applicable Russian and international quality standards — making it a practical choice for filter media, technical packaging, protective textiles, and a wide range of light-industry converting applications.
