The TerraFrigo suspension air conditioner for SDLG equipment is a purpose-built 5.3 kW climate system engineered for SDLG wheel loaders and similar construction machines. Manufactured by OOO Zavod TerraFrigo — a Rostov-on-Don industrial refrigeration factory founded in 2006, operating a 16,000 sq m production facility with over 100 specialist machines, more than 13,000 completed projects, and a dealer network across 23 countries — the unit addresses the harsh thermal demands of heavy construction environments.
It runs on a standard 24V DC electrical supply and operates in both cooling and heating modes, delivering year-round cabin climate control without any electrical conversion. The suspended mounting configuration places both condenser and evaporator overhead, preserving operator space while ensuring even air distribution throughout the cab.
At the heart of the system is the TerraFrigo 5H14 compressor, driving fast temperature response regardless of outside conditions. A distinguishing feature is the in-house copper-aluminum heat exchanger: unlike microchannel or duct-type units that are replaced rather than repaired, TerraFrigo's exchanger is fully serviceable, washable, and resistant to corrosion from road salts and chemical reagents.
