Potassium carbonate (potash) is a white fine crystalline powder, well soluble in water. Potash is non-toxic, fire-explosive safe, has alkaline properties.
Raw material for production of potassium carbonate is carbonate solution obtained in the process of extraction of hydroxide from aluminate solutions during complex processing of nepheline.
Potash is used for the manufacture of crystal or refractory glass, in the production of paint and varnish products, for photographic work, as an additive in building mortar to reduce the freezing point, liquid soap, in the manufacture of fire extinguishing agents, for fire protection of wooden products.
Potash is also actively used in livestock and poultry farming as an additive in the production of compound feed for poultry, pigs and cattle.
