Symmetrical communication cables for digital transmission systems contains single-wire conductive copper cores, located in a sheath of polymer material. Insulated cores have different colour markings and are twisted into pairs.
The number of pairs in the cable is from 1 to 4. The pairs are twisted into a core.
A polyethylene terephthalate tape can be applied over the twisted core. The outer sheath of the cable is made of light-stabilised polyethylene (PE) or polyvinylchloride plasticate (PVC), or polyvinylchloride plasticate of reduced fire hazard with reduced smoke and gas emission (PVC LS), or halogen-free polymer composition (ZH ng(A)-HF).
