The surge protection device (SPD) is designed to protect electrical equipment in low-voltage power distribution systems with frequency 50-60 Hz and rated voltage 230/400 V from the effects of impulse lightning overvoltages, as well as switching overvoltages, the sources of which are switching in the circuits of inductive and capacitive loads, short circuits in distribution networks of high and low voltage. Surge arresters belong to test classes I, II and III according to GOST IEC 61643-11 and can be installed on the busbars of switchgears, switchboards, switchboards or in separate panels to provide protection of electrical equipment in accordance with its category of overvoltage (I - IV) and the required nominal impulse voltage Uw according to GOST R 50571.4.44 and GOST R 50571.5.53. The surge suppressor is installed within the lightning protection zones 0A(B) - 2 (in accordance with GOST R IEC 62305-1, GOST IEC 61643-12-2022 and CO-153-34.21.122-2003).
