The surge voltage protection device is designed to protect equipment in low-voltage power distribution systems of AC 50-60 Hz frequency up to 1000 V or DC 1500 V from the effects of surge currents during direct lightning strikes, induced lightning currents during close lightning strikes and switching overvoltages resulting from switching operations in electrical networks and loads.
ULIPs belong to test class I according to GOST IEC 61643-11 and can be installed on busbars of switchgear or switchgear to provide protection of electrical equipment of category IV according to GOST R 50571.4.44 and GOST R 50571.5.53. ULIPs are installed within 0A(V) - 1 lightning protection zones (according to GOST R IEC 62305-1, GOST IEC 61643-12-2022 and CO-153-34.21.122-2003).
