The КП-Ск 4-4 is an industrial steam-heated air heater manufactured by Glazovsky Metallurgist Plant (АО 'Глазовский завод Металлист'), a Russian industrial equipment producer established in 1899 and headquartered in Glazov, Udmurtia. The plant has supplied thermal and ventilation equipment for industrial facilities across Russia and the CIS for well over a century, and the КП-Ск series is listed in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) registry of industrial climate equipment.
The unit employs bimetallic spiral-rolled aluminum fins on 16×1.5 mm steel tubes — fin outer diameter 39 mm, fin pitch 3 mm — creating a compact but effective heat exchange surface. The heat carrier is dry saturated or superheated steam up to 150 °C, with system pressure not exceeding 1.2 MPa.
At standard test conditions (inlet air −20 °C, air mass velocity 3.6 kg/m²·s, steam inlet pressure ≤0.5 MPa), the КП-Ск 4-4 delivers 97.7 kW across a 21.85 m² heat exchange surface, moving 4,000 m³/h of air. The heater weighs 53 kg and measures 1,037 × 450 × 180 mm.
A uniform 125 mm connection pitch shared across the entire КП-Ск family lets multiple units be combined vertically and horizontally into assemblies handling up to 500,000 m³/h. Every unit undergoes hydraulic pressure testing at 1.8 MPa for two minutes and pneumatic leak testing before dispatch, with results recorded in an individual acceptance certificate.
