The harrow is designed for:
- harrowing the soil immediately before sowing, after sowing and until the crop sprouts reach 25 cm;
- breaking the soil crust, especially on heavy, waterlogged soils;
- control of germinating weeds by combing them to the surface;
- performing "dry irrigation" - shallow loosening of the soil by 3 - 6 cm;
- regulating the water balance;
- preservation of loosened soil;
- stimulation of tillering in cultivation of grain crops;
- activation of natural nitrogen accumulation;
- straw levelling.
Depending on the soil and climatic conditions and the phase of plant/weed development, the optimum angle of attack of the tines can be selected, ensuring weed control on the one hand and preservation of cultivated plants on the other. The implement runs behind the tractor on support wheels.
