The Spectron-601-C is a multi-spectrum IR/UV fire flame detector produced by NPO Spektron (SPEKTRON LLC), a Russian manufacturer specializing in fire detection and suppression equipment. The detector combines infrared and ultraviolet sensing channels to identify open flame with exceptional precision, and is recommended for use in both fire alarm systems and automatic fire suppression systems on enclosed facilities and open industrial installations.
Its most distinctive capability is extraordinary resistance to false alarms: the Spectron-601-C identifies manual arc welding and argon welding at up to three simultaneous posts as optical interference rather than actual fire events, making it the preferred choice for factories and fabrication shops where welding is routine. Maximum detection range is 30 meters per GOST 34698-2020 (test sources TP5 and TP6), and operators can switch between two sensitivity modes — Close (12 m) and Far (30 m) — to suit the protected space.
The 90° field of view is maintained consistently across vertical, horizontal, and all oblique planes. On-board three-stage lightning and surge protection eliminates the need for any additional overvoltage protection hardware.
The housing is molded from impact-resistant ABS plastic and rated for operating temperatures from -55 °C to +75 °C. Power supply accepts 9–26 V DC; weight is 200 g and overall dimensions are 84 × 158 × 73 mm.
Sensitivity class is 1.
