The anti-taran devices (PTU) are designed to prevent unauthorised entry into the protected area of the object or exit from it wheeled vehicles by creating a physical obstacle to their movement. The principle of operation of barrier-type PTU is in fast (from 5 sec.) closing of the carriageway by the lowering boom of the barrier and forced stopping of the moving vehicle in case of collision with it.
PTU is a ground steel structure consisting of three main parts: frame, support and boom.
The frame and support are installed on different sides of the blocked passage on a reinforced concrete foundation and serve to transfer the energy of the ram impact from the product boom to the foundation.
The barrier boom is the most responsible element of the PTU design, which determines the resistance of the product to ramming impact. A reinforcing cable system is laid inside the boom. In case of frontal impact, when the boom body is destroyed, the cable holds the vehicle...
