In your classroom you can create conditions of satellite flight in space, simulating its rotation in low-Earth orbit, the effect of magnetic field and illumination by the Sun!
A large colourful globe of the Earth with a rotation mechanism, which is controlled from a PC via the special Terra Ground Control software. On the surface of the globe are special sensors - "ground communication stations", as well as LEDs that resemble the glowing dots of cities visible from a satellite on the shadow side of the orbit. The magnetic frame creates a uniaxial controlled magnetic field.
Thanks to this field, the satellite can understand its position by checking with data from a sensor, the magnetometer. A spotlight, which can be used to create different scenarios of illumination of the satellite and the Earth's surface, to study orientation algorithms based on solar sensors.
